Our retreats are "Boutique Inclusive": This means you have it your way when you bring a group of students to Mango Tree for a Retreat. We work together to design your retreat exclusively for you and your group. Contact us for all the details. Some of what we include in our retreats: Daily Yoga, or fitness classes hosted by knowledgeable, experienced instructors, a complementary massage by our own licensed massage therapist, Kim . We offer meditation, healthy, whole, plant based foods, offsite day excursions to nearby beaches on the pacific ocean, waterfall hikes and so much more! What could be more fun than to bring your students to Costa Rica for an exclusive week at Mango Tree Villas. Maximum of 10 students, private chef included, unique private experience for your group in a quaint and lavishly comfortable Boutique Resort in the Jungle of Coronado Puntarenas Costa Rica!
We eliminate transportation hassles!
Airport transfers are included in the package. You will be shuttled to and from the airport. Hop on the shuttle, enjoy a cool beverage and a snack and leave the driving to the experts!
Retreat guests will have a complementary shuttle pick you up at the San Jose airport when you arrive. All other flight arrivals must catch this shuttle. It's the only one.
On the bus you will find beverages and snacks for your drive to Mango Tree Villas. When you arrive you will check-in with us at the pool, settle into your accommodations and regroup at the pool area for a jungle safety talk and a cocktail or mocktail.
Retreat guests will be shuttled back to the airport at the end of your stay. The complementary 12 passenger shuttle is prearranged by your hosts at Mango Tree Villas.

Nikki's Bio
Hi, my name is Nikki Strong and I'll be hosting the Pura Vida Retreat. I've been in the fitness industry for 10+ years now. My passion for movement and health started as early as I can remember. As a child I did gymnastics, competing at a high level through high school. I then moved to the triathlon world and completed the Penticton Ironman and now I play around in obstacle course racing. I like a good challenge, what can I say :)
I am a registered dietitian that helps people find ways to incorporate healthy eating and movement into their life. As a mom of three young kids, I know this looks different for each of us.
I'm passionate about this retreat and I can't wait to share this experience with you as we embrace the pura vida lifestyle!

Waterfall Hikes
Experience a water fall hike! Walk to a near by waterfall. Its about 2 miles from the Mango Tree Villas or visit the national park, Nuyuaca Falls for a spectacular 6 mile round trip hike. Plan to spend the afternoon basking in the sun and swim in the cool overflow pools.
OSA Canopy Zip Lining
Have you always wanted to fly through the jungle like an eagle? This may be the closest you get to doing just that! Feel the rush and exhilaration of the the wind on your face. Experience all the sites and sounds of the jungle on the OSA Canopy Zip Lining tour.
Beach Fun
Beach time will be plentiful! You can choose to walk the beach looking for shells or step up the activity by boogie boarding, surfing, joining Gail for yoga, or just simply reading a book and chillin.

Delicious 5 Star Meals

About Amanda
More than 10 years ago Amanda began her own surprising yoga and adventure retreat. The most inspired was her time spent in Australia, each morning a hike to Maitland Bay, she spent time developing her Divine Morning; a time of meditation, journaling, self-reflection, mantra, pranayama and yoga. Five months after this expansive self-discovery she took a boat north. An extraordinary three months learning how to cook 5 star meals on Haggerstone Island in the northern Great Barrier Reef off of Australia - living in a tree house. Each day consisted of waking with the sun, feeding the chickens, tending to the orchard, preparing a beautiful breakfast for guests before heading on the boat for the day to catch lunch and dinner, preparing a fresh catch on the boat and swapping stories for lunch and an extraordinary dinner and evening fiesta back on the island. All of these meals were fresh and local and all at her fingertips. These experiences have led her to her dharma; part of her purpose here on earth: to lead transformational retreats around the world!
The food passion continued as she studied Ayurveda and Yoga in Santa Barbara with Felicia Tomasko, editor and chief of the Yoga Journal, and Siddhi Ellinghoven, teacher of Kundalini, Prenatal Yoga and Ayurveda. The past 3 years Amanda has helped change the way people feel about life, food and their bodies all across the world. Helping individuals create a healthy relationship with food; feel euphoric, inspired and unstoppable, just by changing the way they eat, the way they move and the way they think. We honor ourselves and the bountiful food we choose when we nourish our bodies. A wellness coach, yoga teacher and practitioner of Yoga, Amanda describes the Ayurveda and Yoga relationship as Tantra-the perfect weaving of two.

TRAVELING TO MANGO TREE VILLAS
We are located approximately 3.5 hours south of the San Jose Airport on the southern pacific coast of Costa Rica.
From Portland, OR
Alaska Airlines and Delta have some of the best 1 stop flights available arriving at San Jose Airport (SJO).
Request Transportation - shuttles are available for 1 - 3 guests or groups of less than 7 and up to 15. Prices will vary. Email us to schedule a shuttle pickup at the airport, or ask our staff to schedule a departure shuttle 48 hours in advance of your departure date.
